Our New Website
Several months in development, our new website was launched this month. It has been a dynamic process, with Spectrum Translation and the designers, developers, and content writers exchanging thoughts and ideas every step of the way.
The New Logo
Our new logo includes a Robinson Projection, a style of world map used by National Geographic from 1988 to 1998. The continents and other land masses appear with a minimum of distortion, and in the logo, only Greenland, Iceland, and Antarctica do not appear.
We kept it simple, believing that a world map represents perfectly our dedication to the world’s many languages and cultures.
The fonts employed are Lato for SPECTRUM, Times New Roman for TRANSLATION. Both are simple, clear scripts for a growing, dynamic company.
The text colours, black and silver, were also selected carefully for their feeling and significance.
While the words are static, the map – which goes through the spectrum colours, red through violet – shows the kaleidoscopic variety our company has to offer.
Languages at a Glance
Inspired as we are by the planet’s kaleidoscopic variety, a page on the world’s languages has been included. Here we offer visitors to the website a chance to browse through some of them and learn a little on the range, history, and uniqueness of each one.
More languages will be added over time, so what you see here on the list will grow, eventually to include the majority of languages we translate, proofread, edit, and write.
We hope that you enjoy our new website.
