Aruba, Belgium, Curaçao, Netherlands, Sint Maarten, Suriname
With 23 million speakers, Dutch, a member of the West Germanic language family, is an official language of the Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname, and the Caribbean islands of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten.
Explorers and pioneers, the Dutch have taken their language with them wherever they have gone. From the foundations of New York City (originally New Amsterdam), where it impacted the American experience, to the languages of Asia such as Indonesian and Japanese, its influence has radiated far beyond the Low Countries where it originated. It is also the ‘parent language’ of Afrikaans, one of eleven national languages of South Africa.
Spectrum Translation has specialized in the Dutch language (including Flemish, the Dutch of Belgium) since 2004. We have translated and localized for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname.
